The Animoca Brands subsidiary and the worldwide music firm open the way for a new metaverse field for musical entertainment.

The Sandbox unveiled a collaboration with Warner Music Group, or WMG, on Thursday to develop a musical theme park and concert arena within the game metaverse. The Warner Music Group LAND in The Sandbox will showcase concerts and live events with WMG-represented artists and talent.
Warner Music made its first foray into the nonfungible token (NFT) metaverse with this venture. The company's purpose, according to a statement, is to develop engaging social experiences that will boost Warner Music artists.
The Sandbox could give artists a new way to interact with their fans, try out digital entertainment, and establish new income sources while attracting a worldwide public.
The collaboration, according to Sebastien Borget, chief operations officer and co-founder of The Sandbox, "brings the open metaverse one step forward in the direction of fan-owned and community-driven initiatives."
“We’re shaping The Sandbox as a fun entertainment destination where creators, fans, and players can enjoy first-of-a-kind immersive experiences and be more closely connected to their favorite musical artists through NFTs,” he added.
Virtual land is still in great demand, and The Sandbox maintains a constant high trading volume, making it one of the most competitive metaverses to compete with Decentraland. The Sandbox, as per the firm, will organize a LAND sale in March 2022 to enable music fans to purchase LANDS next to the WMG property.
WMG, which includes record companies such as Atlantic, Warner Records, Elektra, and Parlophone, is the newest partner to buy real estate within The Sandbox metaverse, adding The Walking Dead, Snoop Dogg, Adidas, Steve Aoki, The Smurfs, and CryptoKitties.
