South Koreans will be engrossed in the Metaverse earlier than later, as businesses and public services roll out digital avatars and applications all across the country.

The citizens of South Korea, and also an increasing number of significant firms in the country, have started to endorse and incorporate the Metaverse into their daily lives in new and unforeseen ways.
Two of the country's largest retailers have recently created Metaverse and AI elements for consumers to optimise their shopping experience.
On November 16, GS Shop initiated home shopping via the Metaverse by demonstrating the inner workings of a food production facility. It is intended to ensure customers about the quality of the facility and the food available for purchase.
GS Shop transformed scans of the physical facility into 3D representations. Customers with augmented reality (AR) devices, such as the haptic gloves Meta showcased this week, could tour the facility in the digital world to see the circumstances under which their food was produced.
Jason Ye, the co-founder of DeSpread, a multi-chain ecosystem accelerator, has observed a surge in Korean companies joining the Metaverse. "It seems like every company is diving into the Metaverse and Play to Earn these days," he said.
Avatars from the Metaverse and AI (artificial intelligence) are showing up in a variety of industries, including retail, finance, and even public services.
Lucy, a virtual model, was introduced by Lotte Home Shopping, which expects to reach $14 billion in sales by 2020. Lucy, who has its own Instagram account, will be used in future video content and social media by Lotte. Lucy will certainly be incorporated into Lotte's Metaverse-based virtual store.
The formation of virtual reality has also expanded to the public sector. The Seoul City government declared on November 6 that it intended to build its Metaverse platform, where residents can file civil petitions, by 2023.
The 'Metaverse 120 Center,' as it is provisionally named, will manage virtual visits that do not need the visitor's physical existence.
The Korean military officially confirmed on November 10 that it would incorporate Metaverse applications into soldier training plans by the 2030s.
