Satoshi Nakamoto - the Creator of Bitcoin
Satoshi Nakamoto is one of the most mysterious figures in the modern world. It is not known whether it is only one person or a whole group of IT specialists with huge financial knowledge. This character appeared in 2008, when the first description of Bitcoin, signed by Satoshi Nakamoto, appeared on metzdowd.com. There were numerous attempts to find out who this mysterious creator is. The first ‘suspect’ was Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto, an American of Japanese origin. Everything would add up, even the name and profession - he worked for financial institutions as a programmer and even took part in secret military projects. In addition, he lived only a few blocks from the home of Hal Finney, who was the first to make a Bitcoin transaction. However, the Bitcoin's creator himself wrote on his profile that he is not Dorian Nakamoto, furthermore, he has a completely different style of writing than the American programmer. Even Hal Finney was suspected of creating the first cryptocurrency. It was believed that since he made the first transaction with Bitcoin and was very interested in cryptocurrencies, he had to take part in its creation. However, Finney denied these allegations until the very end - he died in 2014, so we might never find out whether he was telling the truth. Another candidate for the role of the creator was an Australian scientist, Craig Wright. Initially, he admitted that Bitcoin was made by him, but later it was discovered that the statement was an attempt to save himself from accusations concerning financial frauds. One of the most probable creators of the cryptocurrency was Nick Szabo, an American of Hungarian descent. He described the functioning of the cryptocurrency and its role even before it entered the market, and he named the currency bit gold - highly resemblant to Bitcoin. Even though Szabo denied all allegations many people still consider him to be the true creator of Bitcoin. Others believe that it is a woman who hides behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, which would not be strange as programming women are still being discriminated. There are suspicions that Nakamoto might be even a whole group of talented programmers with huge financial knowledge as, seemingly, one person would not be able to design and implement such a complicated project as Bitcoin. According to the American blogger, Alexander Muse, the only institution that managed to discover the identity of the mysterious creator of Bitcoin is the NSA (National Security Agency). Apparently, during the term of Barack Obama, the government feared that Bitcoin is a Trojan from China or Russia. It was supposed to destroy the American economy, which would be very convenient for both of these countries. It's highly probable that we will never discover who really hides behind the pseudonym, but Satoshi Nakamoto will surely be put in the history books as the creator of Bitcoin - the first and most popular cryptocurrency in the world.
