There is absolutely no doubt that blockchain technology has revolutionized a great number of industries. It turns out that it could support military troops as well. How? Here are some ideas:

What role would it play in the Chinese army?

As Global Time reports, blockchain technology could be of a significant support for military troops: it could help manage personnel data, improve training, and make soldiers more enthusiastic. How to achieve it? Well, blockchain itself is an open and dispersed book and, therefore, this type of register could be used to store basic information, such as: career paths, undertaken missions, or received rewards and honourable mentions. This technology can guarantee the realness and accuracy of data.

Soldiers' motivation via tokens

Because of the fact that blockchain enables unchanging and permanent recording of all these things, it could help the army in measuring the performance of soldiers. The soldiers would be rewarded with tokens for good results, for worse, these tokens would be taken away from them. This, in turn, would be an incentive program for all of the units.

An anonymous expert, who knows what does the administrative work of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) look like, revealed that tokens given as the achievement rewards would be a much better and more direct incentive than current systems. Those tokens would not serve as money, of course, but would be exchanged for specific items.

According to a report issued by PLA Daily, blockchain technology is able to provide the military with safer data transmission, which could give it an advantage in terms of confidentiality.

China and blockchain - a great revolution

Since the Chinese president, Xi Jinping, encouraged his country to use the potential of blockchain, the Middle Kingdom has changed its attitude towards this technology very quickly.

Greater effort should be made to strengthen basic research and boost innovation capacity to help China gain an edge in the theoretical, innovative and industrial aspects of this emerging field.

- said the Chinese president.

What is worth noting is the fact that last week Chinese media praised cryptocurrencies, calling Bitcoin the first example of the successive use of blockchain technology.
