Microsoft intends to introduce blockchain-based tools for PowerApps and Microsoft Flow users.

Introduction of new products

On June 10, during the Microsoft Business Applications Summit in Atlanta, many new ideas from the global technology giant have been announced. The company advertised many new products in Power Platform, including introduction of artificial intelligence and blockchain to PowerApps and Microsoft Flow. Thanks to blockchain, the collaboration of applications improves the business productivity. For instance, when it comes to PowerApps, the idea is to capture information from the phone's sensors (for example photos or, thanks to GPS, location) and to send it to a smart contract in a chain. However, in the case of Microsoft Flow, blockchain integrates well within the framework of the software model that works as a service (SaaS). Moreover, it interacts with older company systems, networks and communication services.

The implementation of the blockchain continues

It is not the first time, that the Redmond giant is directing his interests towards the blockchain. In May a new service, Azure Blockchain, was announced. And together with it, the Azure Blockchain Development Kit for the Ethereum blockchain was created. Then the idea of decentralized identity was introduced. Its aim is to enable multiple parties to share access to the same data with an extremely high level of confidentiality and security. The concept of digital identity has been widely discussed as the key to solving the problems of people who are struggling with the lack of access to documents. The problem became noticeable especially after the discussion regarding the appearance of refugees from Africa and the Middle East that took place during the public debate.
