GITEX Global 41st Edition : Dubai World Trade Centre

The UAE will always endorse Global Tech, with Dubai and GITEX representing as a meeting platform for the tech community.The Middle East region’s largest information technology show, GITEX, was held on 17th October 2021 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

GITEX (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition) is a leading consumer computer and electronics trade show, exhibition, and conference hosted in Dubai, United Arab Emirates every year. The show was launched in 1981 and it showcases the transformational concepts that will build the future of authority and business in the next decade.

 This year it was the 41st edition of the show that presented the world’s leading IT companies featuring the latest products and trends in the industry from around the world. It involved conferences with national and international exhibitors of Multimedia Technologies, Information technology etc. 

GITEX Technology Week 2021 incorporated over 4500 exhibitors and more than 100,000 visitors from the MESA region, making it one of the world’s largest networking tech events. GITEX Global has been addressing all aspects of technology for the last 40 years. This year it covered trends in Al, 5G, Cloud, Big Data, Blockchain, Quantum Computing, Immersive Marketing, Fintech, and Cybersecurity from across the globe. Over 1,200 private companies,government entities, and startups from 60 countries utilised the show as a networking platform. More than 140 countries participated in GITEX in 2021.

GITEX Global, GITEX Future Stars, Future Blockchain Summit, AI Everything, Marketing Mania,and Fintech Surge are among the six tech shows that featured in 2021.The GITEX Future Stars Program offered over 700 startups from around 60 countries the opportunity to meet with over 400 investors who could assist them in growing their small businesses. With the GITEX Global Leaders  Vision Program, this year’s conference gave insight into the experiences of other nations around the world, highlighting experiences of African countries, Saudi Arabia, and the GCC, and also a separate day to discuss the UAE’s recently revealed Projects of the 50. 

In addition, in 2021, GITEX YouthX Unipreneur, the first-ever entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership programme for young tech firms, made an appearance.Officials from Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) discussed the terms and conditions for the Golden Visa, and also how to obtain one, during the five-day exhibition, which occurred from October 17 to 21.

The UAE Golden Visa is a long-term residence visa that is automatically renewed and lasts for five to ten years.The authority also conducted a series of virtual workshops at the Expo for the convenience of the general public.

The event this year was unique from any other in the past. Due to the large number of participants and the incredible turnout of global experts, decision-makers, and professionals from around the world, it was conducted in conjunction with Expo 2020 Dubai, which made it more successful.

This is a great opportunity to create a network with top government officials and corporate executives, and also to learn about upcoming start-up companies geared at creating corporate visions a reality.

Future Blockchain Summit is the first and largest Blockchain exhibition and conference in the MENA region launched in 2018 by Dubai Government, that connects the region’s brilliant minds, most game-changing startups, and powerful investors for networking, investing, and education focused on Blockchain.

Three major themes were unravelling at the exhibition, conferences, workshops, the investor programme and Hackathon:

1. Blockchain in Finance including DeFi, digital currencies, CBDCs

2. Blockchain as an alternative investment including crypto & NFT investment

3. Blockchain beyond Crypto including applications and use cases across all industry sectors.

The Future Blockchain Summit has 113 speakers this year. The Future Blockchain Summit Advance Team is a group of Blockchain leaders from around the world who engage in year-round activities such as online discussions, closed-door meetings, webinars, interviews, and in-person meetups in Dubai. The conference covers keynote addresses from local and global experts in the areas of finance, healthcare, logistics and more.
